Jiaying Howard is currently Professor and Chinese Program Head at the Graduate School of Languages and Educational Linguistics, Monetary Institute of International Studies; prior to that she was a lecturer at the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade. She received her Ph.D. in International Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Tsengtseng Chang is a curriculum and material development specialist, currently serving at the Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California.
