Biographical note

David Watson is an artist who specialises in experimental papermaking techniques. He has exhibited his work throughout Britain and in the USA, and has been involved in a number of artist-in-residence schemes, his placements including the Institute of Education, London; Derby Community Arts Centre; and Ovingdean Hall School for Deaf Children. He is currently a member of Red Herring, a Brighton-based group of artists. Frequently, David gives demonstrations of his work and conducts workshops for groups of all ages. Also, he teaches students pursuing a variety of arts and degree courses in colleges around the south-east of England. he carries out commissioned work regularly, and his clients include Boots PLC, BBC2 and Friends of the Earth. When time allows, he enjoys making leaded windows and he is an avid collector of discarded and recycled domestic goods which he used to furnish his home.
