A dark tale unfolds in the form of a letter to Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool FC, from a fan, asking for the manager's advice and support regarding the writer's fragile marriage and family breakdown. The letter develops from an initial appeal for advice into a confession, revealing dark secrets and an intriguing story. Set in the south and then the north of England, family man David 'Dono' Donovan is at that dangerous age when he feels his marriage has gone stale. He meets a bewitching woman in a local pub whilst he is out celebrating his boss's lottery win, and his life changes, irreparably, forever. From then on, his life becomes a mixture of inflamed desire, risk, romance, illusion and reality. The consequences of which lead him into a series of disasters he could not have envisaged.

Biographical note

Paul Wright is an artist and writer. In the last eight years he has written three narrative non-fiction books about life on Lake Como entitled `The Italian Trilogy'. Following a period spent designing and painting theatre, TV and film sets Paul started his own art studio in Surrey where he specialised in murals for private homes and commercial premises. In 1991, he and his wife moved to Lake Como, where he continues to write and paint. Paul's artwork has been featured in many periodicals and art exhibitions in the UK and Italy, including two live interview programmes for Italian Television. In his youth he lived on Merseyside where he was a semi-professional footballer.
