A collection of twelve short stories, supernatural in flavour but each containing more than an element of truth and all based upon the true life experiences of the author. Some will resonate with the reader and will serve to stimulate the brain. Some will leave the reader with a modicum of food for thought and possibly generate more questions than answers. From the physical and mental challenges raised in Two Silver Boxes to the pathos of The Boy Who Could Fly and on to the bitter recrimination and justice of When I Snap My Fingers each story has the potential to stimulate the mind. Whilst The Quexado raises several dilemmas which have to be addressed, Distant Caller provides an insight into how pressure can be applied to the mind.

Biographical note

Colin Harley has drawn upon his own life experiences to set down in print a collection of short stories. Born in Portsmouth and having spent much of his life travelling and working both abroad and across the UK he has come across many cultures, customs and beliefs. When these have been combined with some locally sourced and possibly apocryphal tales that he has recorded and collated over the years, the stories have emerged. These now form the basis of his writing and having recently retired, he has decided that now is the time to share his experiences with others.
