Biographical note

Dick King-Smith spent twenty years as a farmer, and many of his stories are inspired by his farming experiences. He won the Guardian Award with his book, THE SHEEP-PIG, which later inspired the blockbuster film, BABE. He is one of the most popular living children's authors. Dick lives in the West Country, has three children, a large number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
