Introduction by the author: My name is Ole-Ivar Holthe and I am the author of this introductory DVD-ROM course in DirectX 11 programming. I have been working with DirectX for the last 10 years. This course provides an introduction to the DirectX 11 application programming interface (API). DirectX 11 is the main computer graphics API for making computer games on Windows Vista, 7 and later versions. The course introduces core concepts and shows how to make example demonstration applications. We will use the following (free) tools: Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express, Microsoft DirectX SDK, nVidia Graphics SDK, Blender and nVidia FX Composer. The course is only appropriate for adults that have a long experience with C++ programming.
