Biographical note

Dr. Ibrahim Dincer is professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Ontario Tech. University and visiting professor at Yildiz Technical University. He has authored numerous books and book chapters, and many refereed journal and conference papers. He has chaired many national and international conferences, symposia, workshops, and technical meetings. He has also delivered many plenary, keynote and invited lectures. He is an active member of various international scientific organizations and societies, and serves as editor in chief, associate editor, regional editor, and editorial board member for various prestigious international journals. He is a recipient of several research, teaching and service awards, including the Premier?s Research Excellence Award in Ontario, Canada. For the past seven years in a row he has been recognized by Thomson Reuters as one of The Most Influential Scientific Minds in Engineering and one of the Most Highly Cited Researchers. Can Ozgur Colpan is an full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey. His research areas are organic Rankine cycles, heat exchanger design and modelling, thermodynamic modelling of integrated energy systems and renewable energy systems (including geothermal power plants), multiphysics modelling of fuel cells, and manufacturing and characterisation of fuel cells. Onder Kizilkan received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Suleyman Demirel University, Turkey in 2008. After a sixteen-year experience at Suleymen Demirel University including research assistantship, he was promoted as full Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Isparta University of Applied Sciences in 2019. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Energy Conversion Research Center at Doshisha University in Japan, focusing on solar assisted supercritical ORC technology. He has also worked as visiting associated professor at University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Canada for one year in 2011. Dr. Kizilkan’s research interests are energy and exergy analyses of thermal systems, solar energy, energy storage systems and refrigeration.
