David Buckingham is Professor of Education and Director of the Centre for the Study of Children, Youth and the Media at the Institute of Education, University of London. His publications include 'After the Death of Childhood: Growing Up in the Age of Electronic Media' (2000), and 'The Making of Citizens: Young People, News and Politics' (2000).
