Biographical note

Raymond Chang received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from Yale University, USA. He is currently Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at Williams College, USA. Chang has served on the American Chemical Society Examination Committee and the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Committee. He is an editor of The Chemical Educator and has authored books on general chemistry and spectroscopy. Jay Thoman is the J. Hodge Markgraf Professor of Chemistry at Williams College, USA. Professor Thoman has been a faculty member at Williams College since 1988. His research employs laser spectroscopy to investigate the dynamics of small molecules. Working with colleagues, he also studies the chemistry of the local environment.
