This book is a result of a Task Force aimed at identifying empirically-based principles of therapeutic change that recognize the role of technical procedures, relationship variables, as well as client and therapist characteristics. These principles were derived for four problem areas: depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and substance abuse disorders.
