Biographical note

Isabelle Cojan is a senior researcher and Head of the Sedimentology Research Group at the Paris School of Mines. Her main current research interests are the appraisal of climatic influences and base-level fluctuations on fluvial systems, and in process-based modelling. Maurice Renard is a professor at the Pierre et Marie Curie University at Paris and heads the Sedimentary Geology Department. His research activities include pelagic limestone geochemistry as an indicator of seawater chemistry and climate fluctuations through geologic time.
