Biographical note

Written by: Rose Aravanis stumbled into English language teaching having studied something completely unrelated at university - in Rose’s case science. She started teaching in 1993 and had been fortunate enough to have worked in Greece, the UK and Australia. Since 2003, Rose has been a freelance teacher trainer and has met and trained many teachers in Greece and Cyprus both for Macmillan and on CELTA courses as a CELTA trainer. Having spent many years living and working in a very exam-oriented culture (Greece), Rose also worked extensively in language testing as an Examiner (Cambridge ESOL and IELTS), Team Leader (Cambridge ESOL) and Examiner Trainer (IELTS). As a Macmillan author, Rose has been involved in a number of exam projects, most recently Code, and has also written many components for other writers' course books. Stuart Cochrane.
