Biographical note
Kate Adams is a writer, teacher, and presenter. She is an author with Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, and National Geographic Learning. Her writing focuses on her classroom experience teaching language arts at the middle school level and English as a second language for beginning to advanced learners. She was an instructor in the English Language Program at the Illinois Institute of Technology and the University of Illinois Tutorium in Intensive English. Since 2017, she has been designated by the US State Department as an English Language Specialist. In 2018, she received the Illinois Spotlight on Service Award from the Illinois Secretary of State for her volunteer literacy work helping those most in need advance in English learning.
