Biographical note

Robin Barrow read Greats at Oxford University and obtained his PhD from the University of London. He was Reader in Philosophy of Education at the University of Leicester, before moving to Simon Fraser University in Canada as Professor of Philosophy of Education in 1982. From 1992-2002 he was Dean of Education. He is the author of twenty-four books and a hundred or so papers in the fields of classics, philosophy and education.
