Biographical note
Alan Brown was born in London, but has spent most of his life in the wild countryside of the north of England. He started writing only when his two children had grown up. His books, he says, are "a way of keeping their childhood and mine alive in my mind.”Big Cat Phonics for Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It comprises classroom resources to support the SSP programme and a range of phonic readers. The 7+ books are designed for children aged 7+ who need more practice to acquire phonics skills.
