Qingshun He received his Ph.D. degree in linguistics from Southwest University in 2013, and completed his postdoctoral research at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in 2015. He is an associate professor and Ph.D. student adviser at School of Foreign Languages, Sun Yat-Sen University. His main research interest is systemic functional linguistics.
This book presents corpus-based research on functional syntax. It is the first book to present a comprehensive investigation into grammatical metaphor in English clause combining in large-size corpora.
