All the animals have a favourite spot on the playground-and for Herbert in this first title in the Hippo Park Friends series, it's the slide, where he has fun all by himself. But can he let others take a turn? Herbert the Hippo is playing all by himself today! He's on the slide-wheee!-where he imagines he's slipping down into a magical underwater cave. When the other animals show up, Herbert does not want to stop pretending and give someone else a turn. Preschoolers will relate to this amiable friend's predicament-and thrill to this first visit to Hippo Park, the setting for an exciting new series that captures the excitement toddlers feel when they play, while introducing early social emotional concepts, too.
