Helen Peters (Author)Helen Peters grew up on an old-fashioned farm in Sussex, surrounded by family, animals and mud. She spent most of her childhood reading stories and putting on plays in a tumbledown shed that she and her friends turned into a theatre. After university, she became an English and Drama teacher. Helen lives in London with her family and a very assertive cat.
Ellie Snowdon (Illustrator)
Ellie Snowdon grew up in Swansea surrounded by books, Welsh cakes and sheep. After graduating from UWE Bristol and the Children's Book Illustration MA at CSA, Ellie returned to live and work in Swansea where she is thankfully still surrounded by books, Welsh cakes and sheep!

"Well, we'll miss her," Nadia was saying. "But of course the herd is the best place for her. I'm sure she'll be delighted to see the other reindeer again."
"She will," Charlotte said, smiling affectionately at Joy. "And they'll be delighted to see her. Do you want to bring her to the truck, Jasmine?"
Jasmine shook her head. She didn't trust herself not to cry if she had to load Joy into the truck. She put her arms around the baby reindeer's neck and kissed the top of her head, between the two little velvety beginnings of antlers.
"Goodbye, Joy," she whispered. "You've been amazing." And she hurried out of the room, keeping her head down so nobody could see her tears.
