The author, Finn Haugen, has a M.Sc. degree in engineering cybernetics from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1985. He has been teaching dynamic systems and control engineering for students and engineers for a couple of decades. He works in his own company TechTeach, and also holds a position at the Telemark University College in Norway.
