Biographical note

Kes Gray is the bestselling author of the OI FROG AND FRIENDS series of books that has sold over 3 million copies and has been adapted into a theatre show. He is a multi-award-winning author with over 70 books published. He eats Ideaflakes for breakfast, spreads silliness on his toast and loves to write books that will make children laugh out loud. He has won the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award and the Laugh Out Loud Book Award and has been shortlisted for the British Book Awards. Kes is based in Essex. Fred never wanted to be an astronaut or drive a train when he grew up. Right from the beginning he knew he wanted to draw silly pictures for a living. Some decades later, he's living the dream! Fred has worked on all manner of projects, including editorial, advertising and designing animations for the BBC.
