Formerly a NHS psychiatrist, Dr Marrone has a private practice in psychotherapy in London. He is also co-founder and Chairman of the International Attachment Network as well as co-founder of the Journal Attachment and Human Development'. Dr Marrone received regular clinical supervision from the founder of attachment theory John Bowlby over a period of ten years, from 1980 until shortly before Bowlby's death in 1990. He also trained at the Institute of Psychonalysis (London) and the Institute of Group Analysis.
