Rigorous training for aspiring teachers is crucial for sustainable
education globally. This book explores the vital mentorship roles of
school leaders in selected Zimbabwean secondary schools. Drawing upon
the Framework of Instructional Leadership and the Mutual Benefits
Model, this qualitative study delves into the lived experiences of
school leaders and trainee teachers. Findings reveal that while school
leaders generally view mentoring positively and mutually benefit from
the process, challenges like limited training, resource shortages, and
lack of collaboration exist. The book proposes a practical framework
to enhance mentoring in developing communities, emphasising in-service
training, clear guidelines, and adequate resources. This essential
resource offers valuable insights for scholars and policymakers in
education management, curriculum studies, and professional
development.
