In this book, the basic conditions for local learning are described using the example of two regions in Styria and related to demographic and spatial factors. Based on this, possibilities for successful local learning in peripheral regions are elaborated and the role of the Adult Education Centre in the regions of south-eastern Styria and Liezen is analysed.
