The sixteen articles in this book are written by seventeen scholars from Denmark, Norway and Sweden. They discuss several grammatical questions and different aspects of children's language development, and present analysis of different kinds of texts in society and school, also in a multimodal perspective. Systemic functional linguistics is, however, the basis and inspiration of all the articles. The book gives an overview of the work going on in SFL in Denmark, Norway and Sweden today. The articles are useful for students interested in different areas of functional linguistics.
