Richard Joyce has long been interested in the British Military, although he has never served. After collecting signed military books, this inspired him to fully research and write his own book. He has supported military charities for nearly a decade and continues to donate to charities from all books.

Egypt, 1917 – Johnny Vince has to use all his modern-day Special Forces skills to lead an operation without modern-day weaponry and kit. Only two others are trained in his squad; the rest are a mishmash, thrown together by the hard-bastard Sergeant Rowe and his uncle. Two targets are paramount for the clandestine mission. Staying hidden from the Turks, Germans, and Bedouin, the original Elkhaba join the chase and ensuing battles. Great friends are lost. A third mission is deemed, but with ulterior motives simmering, trust is diminishing. Will Johnny survive to find the link back to 2013?
