Christina Goodings is the author of several Lion Children's books; including: The Lion Easy Read Bible, Easter: Fun Things to Make and Do, Christmas: Fun Things to Make and Do, and Who is Jesus? Maria graduated from Wolverhampton Art College with a degree in graphic design. After 25 years of working in the graphics profession she made the decision to return to art college, where her work has evolved from concepts and pure graphics to the world of contemporary illustration. Since leaving Stockport college, she has worked continuously on building her portfolio, retaining all the influences and skills which she learnt there. After a successful collaboration with a children's author she decided to specialize in children's books.
The life of Jesus is presented in chronological order, recounting episodes from his life in a factual way. The book sets Bible stories in a historical context, which helps bring them to life for young readers. The varied layout includes fact boxes, Bible references, maps, and each page is full of information. The pages have a 'parchment' look to them, and the illustrations are detailed and fresh.
