Poppy O'Neill is an author of books for children and adults about mental wellbeing. She studied Creative Writing at the University of Chichester and lives by the sea in West Sussex.

Poppy O’Neill wrote I Am Awesome because she believes that learning about how our minds work is the best way to grow self-esteem and understand our emotions. Poppy wanted to include the science behind self-esteem and how emotions work, as well as practical ways to build self-esteem.
Topaz/ Band 13 books offer longer and more demanding reads for children to investigate and evaluate.
