David Parker is the editor and part-owner of the tabloid newspaper ‘New Valley News’ and ‘The Beat’ music magazine.
He grew up in Salisbury but lived in a nearby small village for fifty years. He has also worked as a national newspaper reporter and for the BBC but has been a press officer, PR consultant, and columnist for the Western Daily Press. He was an independent District Councillor for twenty-three years.
‘All or Nothing’ is a gripping and emotionally highly engaging novel. Marion meets Christopher through Robin, who becomes jealous of their close relationship. Eventually Robin comes between them and what might have led to marriage becomes a broken friendship which follows Christopher through his life.
Christopher meets Sandra but his developing friendship with her comes to nothing because of his close relationship with his young friend Alan.
Eventually Christopher takes over his parents’ farm on their death in a car crash. He finds life lonely and complicated, his friendships superficial and his close association with Alan prevents him from pursuing marriage.
Christopher decides to go to Australia to escape from his memories and past associations. How can he return to normal social relationships?
