Praise for the series:

“I wish I'd had copies like this at Drama School … Next time I'm in rehearsal on a Shakespeare play, I have no doubt that a copy from this series will be in my hand.” – Adrian Lester, Actor, Director and Writer

"In such a crowded market, it is remarkable to see editions that feel so fresh, relevant, and necessary.” – Studies in Theatre and Performance

“A breakthrough of practical magic in clarifying the text and characterization within the canon. It de-mystifies 400 year old scripts with a fresh and dynamic energy. For directors in rehearsal – finally we have a partner in research – a companion that will help actors and entire creative teams understand the text and enjoy the journey even more than usual...and that’s quite a lot.” – Barbara Gaines, Artistic Director of the Chicago Shakespeare Theater

“Using the Arden Performance Editions is a game-changer for creating modern productions of early modern dramas … these editions are an essential meeting ground between scholarship and practice.” – Dr Zoe Svendsen, Dramaturg, Othello (National Theatre), The Tempest (Shakespeare’s Globe)

"As a Shakespeare director, actor and teacher based out of Denver, Colorado, I deeply appreciate the Arden Performance Editions. They are perfect for rehearsal room and classroom alike, opening up the language without drowning in historical facts. I have introduced them to the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and the Orlando Shakespeare Festival with my work there and find new fans with every show." – Geoffrey Kent
