Biographical note

CHRIS ALDEN is a Lecturer in International Relations at the London School of Economics. He has published widely on the international politics of Southern Africa in internationally acclaimed journals such as Journal of Modern African Studies, Politique Africaine and International Peacekeeping. He is co-editor of Paris, Pretoria and the African Continent: the International Relations of States and Societies in Transition.
