Biographical note

Adrian E. Bauman is Professor of Public Health and Epidemiology at the School of Community Medicine at the University of New South Wales and Director of the Epidemiology Unit at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney. He is also Research Director of the Australian Centre for Health Promotion and an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Deakin University. He has written extensively for journals, monographs and contributed chapters on public health. Don Nutbeam is Pro Vice- Chancellor and Head of the College of Health Sciences at Sydney University. He was formerly head of Public Health in the UK Department of Health.
