Introduction Wow! Pokémon – there are so many. I wondered, how on earth do I choose from more than 1000 Pokémon?! My initial thought was to delve deeper into all things Pokémon by doing some research. So, I bought myself a book all about them and started reading. As I researched the world of Pokémon, I discovered that it is incredibly diverse. They are classified by type: Water, Ice, Fighting, Steel and Fire to name a few. They also come from several different regions that have extraordinary names, such as Sinnoh, Johto, Hoenn and Kanto, and each one has its own set of characteristics, moves, strengths and weaknesses. After much exploration of the fascinating world of Pokémon, and as my knowledge grew, I went with my gut instinct to choose this selection of 50 unique Pokémon to recreate in felt. I hope you’ll enjoy sewing your own adorable Pokémon as much as I have enjoyed designing them!
