Holloway's illustrated manual on Colonial and Federal furniture and
decoration, it was first published in 1928.Holloway was born in
Ashland, Greene County, New York in 1859. He attended Pennsylvania
Academy of Fine Arts between 18881 and 1905 and then went on to work
as art director for the publisher J. B. Lippincott Co. for 46 years
where he wrote a number of books on interior design and antique
furniture.
