Written by a nationally-recognized authority in the field of assessment, this manual provides an introduction to basic issues in the development and administration of the MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF as well as a step-by-step procedure for interpreting the test. It discusses the use of the MMPI-2 with special groups and reviews the use and interpretation of critical items, special scales, and short forms. Summaries of empirical research are included in each chapter to illustrate the bases for interpretations.

- Comprehensive summary of the empirical literature on the MMPI-2
- Flow charts illustrate the interpretive process for the MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF that are particularly helpful for students learning these self-report inventories
- Extensive data provided so that the bases for interpretations are explicit for the reader
- Both the seasoned interpreter of the MMPI-2 as well as students learning the MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF are provided valuable information
- Numerous case examples are included to illustrate the points being discussed
- Completely updated to include the empirical research through 2009.
- A data base of approximately 150,000 MMPI-2s has been used to provide the bases for all of the interpretations being made.
- Empirical correlates are provided for all MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF scales and MMPI-2 codetypes.
- All chapters have been completely rewritten and updated to reflect the empirical literature through 2009
- A chapter devoted to the MMPI-2-RF has been added
- A data base of approximately 150,000 MMPI-2s has been used to provide a comprehensive summary of the relationships among MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF scales.
