This unique and important liturgical resource reflects the broadening expressions of diversity and inclusivity across the churches worldwide. It is the most comprehensive of its kind and draws on feminist, LGBTQ, postmodern, disability, trauma, black and eco theologies to create prayers with poetic immediacy and richness. Designed to complement authorised liturgies, it includes a collect for every Sunday in the 3-year cycle, as well as forms of confession, eucharistic prayers, post-communion prayers and final blessings for each season and principal holy day: Over sixty new prayers cover the occasional offices: baptism, first communion, marriage (heterosexual and same-sex), funerals and services focused on creation, peace and justice and Mary. A theological rationale for writing and using inclusive prayers is also included.
