Jack Perks is a wildlife photographer, TV presenter, writer and a leading expert on British fish. He has worked as a cameraman on various wildlife programmes, including Springwatch, Countryfile, The One Show and David Attenborough documentaries. As well as writing hundreds of articles for leading nature magazines, such as BBC Wildlife and Country Life, Jack is the author of Freshwater Fishes of Britain and Field Guide to Pond and River Wildlife. He is a vice president of WildFish Conservation.
It is difficult to imagine the amount of work that must have gone into this publication … Not only has it thoroughly earned a place in my library, but it has also already found a permanent residence in my field pack.
