When duty and conscience collide... HMS Indomitable, an aircraft carrier captained by maverick Chris Cameron, has been sent down by the Foreign Office to take up station off the west coast of Africa. John McLaren was born in Edinburgh in 1951. He was a diplomat and venture capitalist and a director of two major investment banks. He is the founder of Masterprize, the international competition for symphonic composition, and Chairman of the Barchester Group. His previous books are PRESS SEND, 7th SENSE, and BLACK CABS.
