Biografisk notat
Joe Todd-Stanton is from Brighton and grew up drawing with his mum. He studied Illustration at the University of the West of England, afterwards moving to London where he currently lives. His children's book, The Secret of Black Rock, won the 2018 Waterstones Children's Book Prize and since then he has written and illustrated seven books with Flying Eye Books.Underneath the surface, like Black Rock itself, it holds a gentle environmental message. The colour palette is stunning and the images from under the sea are dream like. A magical read.

The Secret of Black Rock is a wonderful lovely story where the narrative is primarily told by the beautiful illustrations and parents will love it as much as their children do.
