Katy Newton Naas spends much of her time chasing her two young sons, three dogs, four cats, and eight ducks. She is the author of many children’s and young adult books, including Young Adult Book of the Year Award-winning novel, Healing Rain, and Literary Classics Book Award-winning middle grade novel, Guardian. She enjoys serving as youth leader in her church and teaching middle school reading and language arts in the local public-school system of Norris City, IL. Melanie Ellison is an artist and student at the University of Southern Indiana. Her award-winning pieces have appeared in art shows in the Midwest. You Are You-nique is her first children’s book.
